is an image processing tool specially designed for 3D pictures created by the FujiFilm cameras FinePix Real 3DW1 and FinePix Real 3DW3. Both cameras are able to take three dimensional images, based on the built-in twin lenses.
The used file format to store images is the MPO-format (multi picture object), which can be opened by a fair number of software tools. Nevertheless, image processing is not supported by most of these software tools. MPO-images consist of two single images (one for the left and one for the right eye). Most image processing tools, fail in processing both images at the same time.
This is where ShadeShed 3D starts. The software allows image processing operations such as:
- resizing and cropping
- rotation
- adjusting contrast and lightness
- correction of white balance
- flipping horizontally and vertically
- adding annotations at specific distances
In addition to these operations, some special operations can be executed:
- create SBS (side-by-side) images, to use a 3D TV for displaying 3D images
- switch left and right position of both images
- preview on an additional 3D monitor
- perform a slide show
- use the slide sorter to structure the images
